Fresh mulberries are delicate and should ideally be eaten within two to three days after harvesting. Store them in a shallow container lined with paper towels inside the refrigerator.
For longer storage, freeze the berries in a single layer on a baking tray before transferring them to freezer bags. Frozen mulberries maintain much of their flavor and nutritional value for several months.
Dried mulberries are another excellent option and can be stored in airtight containers in a cool, dry place for several months.
